Young adults is a community of people from across all six sites of CFC.
Our hope for our young adults is that they will experience a Christ centred community dedicated to impacting Belfast, Ireland and the nations with the love of God in the power of the Holy Spirit.
As we seek to recognise and empower this generation, our aim is to safely and effectively integrate our young adults into church life across all six sites.
To do this, we have created intentional spaces that our young adults community can walk alongside each other and discover their place in our wider church community. We do this in three ways:
Connect groups are the spiritual practice of community. Choosing to commit to a small group of people for the purpose of formation into Christ. We become like Christ with others.
Jesus was:
Rooted in the Father’s love (Mark 1:11)
Operating in the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:1 & 14)
Character formed by fruit of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23)
Missional to release captives (Luke 4:18-19)
Hospitable to the marginalised and the stranger (Luke 19:1-10)
Love for enemies (Matt. 5:43-48)
Advocates for the vulnerable (Luke 8:43-48)
The purpose of Connect is to help each other be with Jesus, become like Him and do as He did.
Young Adults Connect Leaders across our CFC Sites

Holywood – Bethany Chisholm and Tom McCormick and Ewan and Suzanne Boyle

Antrim, SLC and Inner East currently have no formal young adults pathway. If you are part of one of these sites and would like to connect in with other Young Adults, please email youngadults@thisiscfc.com.
The role of our Young Adult connect groups is to meet young adults where they are at and help them move into a broader community of people where they find their place, not as a young adult, but a key member of a church community.
We want to encourage our young adults to identify people who are ahead of them and coming after them in their walk with Jesus. We recognise the value of an intergenerational community. We can learn from each other and in turn support each other as we grow in Christ. Meeting in 2’s and 3’s provides a regular space for us to share life and connect on a deeper basis. As we do this we connect our story with God’s story and crowd becomes a community.
Our 7pm service in CFC East Belfast is an intergenerational gathering of all our sites which is run by a team of young adults. This is an opportunity to discover and grow in your spiritual gifts and develop spiritual maturity in a safe environment. Three times a year we bring this team together for the purpose of equipping our team and strengthening relationships across our sites. If you have been coming along to our seven service and would be interested in getting involved, please get in touch.
