If we are to go on a journey where we understand our identity given to us by God, we need to know who He is and what He is like.
A.W. Tozer once profoundly wrote – “what comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”
WHO AM I?
The Apostle Paul quotes the Greek poets and philosophers when he shares in Athens “We are His offspring”. This is Paul’s articulation to the answer of “who am I?”
The idea that we have been made, designed and created is radical enough. But when we read in Genesis 1 that we have been made in the image of God it takes this to a new level.
WHO ARE WE?
We are invited into something bigger than just ourselves. Our Father asks us to be a part of the body of Christ – to become the banner of victory in Jesus.
Let’s see how we can build a Jesus centred community that allows everyone to recognise their value and place within it.
WHERE ARE WE?
Who we are has always been a debated issue, but it seems in our current climate, there has never been a more polarising question. So how do we as Jesus followers, who claim to know who we are, engage with others who may disagree; not necessarily outside of church, but sitting beside us on a Sunday.
