We are so looking forward to celebrating Easter together! Over the next week, we join the many Christians who have gone before us, making their pilgrimage to the cross, the garden and the empty tomb. While this year our Easter journey may look different as we won’t be physically gathered together, in many ways it remains the same. Over these next few days, let the familiarity of the movements of Easter week stabilise your soul. May these moments remind you that amidst a changing world, the story of Jesus has not been bent out of shape. His cross and resurrection holds us firm.
From Monday to Thursday we will be releasing podcasts from a variety of CFC voices focusing on Jesus’ movements during the week leading up to his death. These will be available each day via the below links. Links will also be posted on our social media pages. Transcriptions of the audio podcasts will be available for those who would prefer to read rather than listen.
On Tuesday night at 7:30pm there will also be an opportunity for us to gather together via Zoom for some prayer, led by Priscilla.
On Good Friday evening we will have site Zooms at 7:30pm where we will take communion together and follow a Tenebrae service with worship and Bible readings from various people as we journey towards the cross. Each CFC site will be holding their own Good Friday service, to receive the links for Zoom, sign up using the button below and you will receive a confirmation email with all the details.
On Easter Saturday morning we will be releasing a short creative piece on our social media pages to help you intentionally engage in the day of in-betweens.
On Easter Sunday we would love you to join us for our online service where we will have worship, some teaching for our incredible kids, an amazing resurrection story from one of our members that you will not want to miss, and an Easter talk from our very own Andrew Gibson.
We know this Easter looks a little different but the cross and resurrection remind us that Jesus still brings victory in unexpected ways in unexpected places. Let’s expect the unexpected this Easter.
