Host Training

You are here:

We hope these videos will be a helpful tool in your journey as a connect host as we seek to create safe spaces of formational community. The videos won’t cover everything but can serve as a great conversation starter with other connect hosts or your connect coordinator.

This training video focuses on the first night of connect. This can be for someone launching a new connect group, or a group coming together as we relaunch for a new season. Rachel shares about the potential of these nights, setting the tone and creating a culture within your group for the year ahead. Click Here

As a church, we resource our Connect Groups three times a year, following the Sunday morning teaching series. These specific moments throughout the year allow us as a church family across our sites to move together in our formation and discover what God is saying to us collectively as a body. Outside of this, connect hosts have space to utilise their gatherings to meet specific needs within their group, draw out specific topics or allow people to share their stories. Rachel unpacks how resources can be used to make space for formational nights together. Click Here

We want to support connect hosts as they make their connect groups accessible for people of many different ages and stages of life and development. Rebekah unpacks neurodiversity within small groups and how we can practically make our connect groups safe and welcoming to people with a range of needs so all can be a part of formational community. At CFC we believe that true family looks like many different generations represented around the table. Charlotte unpacks the necessity and opportunity making space for different generations in our connect groups can have on us as we seek to follow Jesus. Click Here

We want to support connect hosts as they make their connect groups accessible for people of many different ages and stages of life and development. Zara unpacks how mental health can impact someone’s hope of integrating into community and how we can love and serve them well together. Click Here

We recognise that hosting a connect comes with the challenge of leading yourself and others. Kathryn unpacks how essential it is for connect hosts to have healthy boundaries amidst loving people and investing in them. Click Here
