We have been working with a food bank, The Larder, on Mersey Street, in East Belfast. We would love if you could support them by buying a few extra items in your shop, bringing them to church, and putting them in red Larder bucket at the back of church (East), as the store shelves are currently particularly low. Items needed include:
We thank you in advance for your generosity.
If you would like to volunteer, or help in the Larder, then contact Garath Baxter at firstname.lastname@example.org
Food poverty is still a massive issue in our communities. One of the items that Food Banks always run out of quickly is tinned meat. As a church, we’re committing to “Meaty March” and are asking every member of CFC to bring some tinned meat and put it into the donation trolley’s in church. Tinned meats have a much longer shelf life and products include tinned ham, jars of hot dogs, meat pies, beef casserole, chicken curry. If you’d prefer, you can donate to “Meaty March” directly via ChurchSuite by clicking here and we will buy the meat on your behalf and give it to the Food Bank.
If you wish to give a one off donation to support the larder, please click here and choose "Meaty March" from the dropdown list:
