Exodus 33

One comment on “Exodus 33”

  1. “Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, would remain behind in the Tent of Meeting.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We under the New Covenant, established by the death and resurrection of Jesus, can approach God and know that we are His friends. What a privilege!
See too how the young Joshua learns by following Moses’ example. He lingers in the Tent of Meeting to enjoy the Presence of God and get acquainted with His voice. He’s being prepared for leadership of the people but the most important preparation is to know God’s presence and recognise His voice.

God’s presence is what sets His people apart. May we host His presence well, loving our world and the people in it. My prayer is that God’s presence may be so evident in me that others are touched by Him, for even words and deeds are secondary to His presence. Our world is hungry for spiritual reality, for the supernatural. We were made to walk in the spirit and to do the works of Jesus.
