Church News, Weekly email 26/05/20

May 26, 2020

During this season we want to continue to ensure that even though we are physically isolated we are not spiritually isolated. Below are all the ways you can continue to connect with us as a church on Sundays as well as throughout the week!

Our church office is now closed but our staff are working from home so if you need to contact us, email info@thisiscfc.com and one of our office staff will be in touch Monday-Friday 9-5pm.

Every Sunday morning at 10am join us on Facebook or YouTube for our online church service, which includes worship and a message from the team.

At 9.30am every Sunday morning a CFC Kids Church video is released on Facebook and YouTube. You will be prompted during our online service when to 'press play' on this video for your children. This means your children can be helped to continue to grow spiritually whilst you are doing the same!

*Listen to CFC services by your phone line.*
You can now listen to our Sunday morning service and Wednesday Night Live service by calling 028 9012 3559. Calls are charged at local rate. Please pass this number on to anyone you know who may not have access to social media, internet or who may just like to listen in. (The Sunday morning service will be available from 10am on Sunday morning until Wednesday evening, the Wednesday Night Live service will be available from Thursday morning until Friday evening).

If you miss our Church Service or Kids Church Video on a Sunday morning, you can still watch it throughout the week by clicking the Facebook and YouTube links below.

Your Site Pastors will host a 'Wednesday Night Live' video session on Facebook, Instagram or Zoom (video conferencing website).

Over the past few months we have been praying for an awakening across our world, an outpouring of God’s power and breakthrough in the midst of the Coronavirus crisis and of His Spirit in our lives, our church and our land. As we look towards Pentecost Sunday (31st May), we are going to start and end the month, with two 24/7 weeks of prayer (4th-10th and 24th-31st May).  We would love you to sign up for an hour’s slot in our virtual prayer room by clicking the link below, and pray as individuals, as families, as Connect Groups or teams. When you sign up you will receive a link to resources to help guide your prayers.

Over this time we are aware that lots of people are connecting into our online services that have maybe never considered church or faith before. We want to journey this with you and so, one of our teaching Pastors, Charlotte Curran, has created a new online video series to best equip you as you explore faith for the first time.Click the link below to watch Episode 1 and make sure to share it with anyone you think it may help!
Exploring Faith - Episode 1

We are very aware of the profound impact the current coronavirus crisis is having on our business community, with leaders having to make very difficult decisions on how best to respond.  As a church, we want to pray for and encourage those of us who are in business.  Every Monday from 7.30am – 8.00am we will be gathering to pray online for those members in business.  Our hope is to give people time to process the decisions they are facing, and then to pray for each other.
If you are in business and would like to join our weekly zoom prayer meeting, please email neil.gamble@thisiscfc.com for more details, including the zoom meeting ID and password.

India - Working with our partners to support the most vulnerable in lockdown.
CFC has had a partnership with UCCI (United Christian Church of India) for over 35 years. UCCI are working on the ground to help feed families who have lost their income and are in serious need.  They have already been able to support over 1,200 families and we want to help them continue to support those families and more over the next few weeks. A gift of £15 buys a food parcel which gives an extra meal a day to a family for 15 days and helps them to stay strong, to not be outside looking for any work or having to borrow money at very high interest. Ethnos Asia - Monthly Prayer Diary
Our missions partners, Ethnos Asia, work to support churches in the Access Restricted Churches in South East Asia. You can partner with Ethnos in daily prayer using their prayer calendar for May 2020.
